The Calmar Kitchen
The renovation of Calmar’s kitchen represents a major transformation that reinvents the daily experience of cooking and getting together. The project metamorphosising the space into a modern, welcoming space, skilfully harmonizing functionality and contemporary aesthetics.
One of the most striking features of the new kitchen is its arrangement into three distinct cabinet blocks, each offering a carefully selected palette of colors and materials. The lower cabinet doors have been finished in a Blue Grey lacquer, adding a touch of sophistication and modernity. These Cucina shaker-style doors add subtle refinement while maintaining a clean, contemporary look.
To add warmth and texture, the cabinets on the right have been finished with FINSA Nogal Slow, an imitation wood finish whose grain creates a warm, welcoming ambience. This same finish is used as a shelf across the entire width of the kitchen, ensuring visual continuity and enhanced functionality.
The upper cabinets, covered in Oxford Grey polymer, harmoniously complete the decor, adding a touch of softness and ensuring a fluid transition between the different areas of the kitchen.
At the heart of the space is an ingeniously designed central island. This not only serves as a preparation area, but also integrates a kitchen table that can comfortably seat four guests. This configuration encourages conviviality and creates an ideal focal point for meals with family and friends.
One of the major challenges of modern kitchen design is to maximize workspace while minimizing visual clutter. Calmar’s project meets this challenge brilliantly, incorporating clever solutions such as a concealed station for small appliances like the microwave and coffee machine. This approach frees up the countertops, creating an uncluttered, more functional work surface.
Finally, Dekton Opera countertops, with their velvet finish, are not only elegant but also extremely resistant to scratches and heat, making them an ideal choice for intensive use in the kitchen. Matching backsplashes also bring a refined, high-end finish to the entire space.
